heal.abstract | The quick estimation of the rate of P fertilizer, required to raise P-Olsen to the desired optimum level in each site specific situation is the main objective of soil testing laboratories. For this purpose 16 soils with contrasting properties, having neutral and alkaline pH were studied. P-Olsen extracted after 120 days of P equilibration was correlated with P-Olsen from 20 h. equilibration and with the main soil characteristics. It was concluded that a reliable estimation of P fertilizer needed for a neutral or alkaline soil is succeeded by the 20 h. P equilibration or by the determination of soil clay content. | en |
