In the present work an effort will be made to derive explicit matrix formulae for the calculation of radiation exchange in an arbitrary number of adjacent and/or wrapped enclosures composed of boundary walls which are partly transparent at long wavelengths when the sky radiation must be taken into account. The objective of the analysis will be to obtain a general set of equations considering boundary walls of an arbitrary transparence to long-wave thermal radiation and further to simplify the equations including terms such as T4 by using linearization techniques. The proposed method is shown to be in good agreement with experiments using a radiating surface covered with two polyethylene films under solar radiation incidence, as well. © 1989. |
