The single chain Fv fragment of mAb198 (scFv198) directed against the main immunogenic region (MIR) of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (AChR), can efficiently protect the AChR in muscle cell cultures against the destructive activity of human myasthenic autoantibodies.
