Αποτύπωσης της υπάρχουσας κατάστασης και πρόταση ανάπλασης και ανάδειξης των Βοτανικών Κήπων του Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών και του Γεωπονικού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών.

Abstract

Στόχος της μελέτης ήταν αφενός η αποτύπωση της υπάρχουσας κατάστασης των ιστορικών βοτανικών κήπων του Γ.Π.Α. και του Ε.Κ.Π.Α. και αφετέρου η ήπια ανάπλαση και ενοποίησή τους προσβλέποντας στην ανάδειξη και ένταξή τους στον αστικό ιστό, χωρίς να αλλοιωθεί ο βοτανικός χαρακτήρας των κήπων, αποτελώντας παράλληλα χώρο επιστημονικής μελέτης και κοινωνικής ευαισθητοποίησης σε οικολογικά θέματα. Μέσω πρωτογενούς έρευνας έγινε αποτύπωση του σχεδίου, των κτιριακών εγκαταστάσεων και ειδικών κατασκευών και των φυτικών ειδών. Καταγράφηκαν και αποτυπώθηκε η θέση περισσοτέρων από 110 φυτικών ειδών στο βοτανικό κήπο του Γ.Π.Α. και 80 στου Ε.Κ.Π.Α. Η πρόταση ανάπλασης προσβλέπει στην ανάδειξη των κήπων και της ιστορικότητάς τους, μέσω προβολής παλαιών κατασκευών και φυτικών ειδών που αποτελούν ζωντανά μνημεία λόγω της παλαιότητας, του μεγέθους και της σπανιότητάς τους. Βασίστηκε σε βιβλιογραφία σχετική με την ιστορία της περιοχής και των δύο κήπων, αεροφωτογραφίες και παλαιούς χάρτες, καθώς και προφορικές μαρτυρίες.

The scope of this study was to imprint the existing situation of the historical botanic gardens of the Agricultural and the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens and to suggest a mild regeneration of them along with a plan of unification. Our aim is to redevelop the gardens into a place of scientific research as well as ecological awareness of the public and in the same time integrate them in the wider urban fabric without changing their site or their character. Through a primary research was realized the imprinting of the plan, of the buildings and the structures and of course of the plants. Was registered the position of 110 plant species in the garden of the Agricultural University of Athens and 80 plant species in the garden of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens. The proposed development aims to the emergence of the gardens and their historical importance, by showing the old and long standing structures and the plants that are considered living monuments because of their oldness, the size and the rarity of the species. The whole operation was based to a bibliography relative to the history of the area where the two gardens are, to old maps and photographs and to verbal testimonies.
