Η προστατευόμενη περιοχή του όρους Μαίναλου και η αντιμετώπισή της ως δυνητικού αναπτυξιακού παράγοντα της περιοχής.

Abstract

Η Εργασία στο πρώτο µέρος της παρουσιάζει αναλυτικά τα αβιοτικά, βιοτικά και πολιτιστικά χαρακτηριστικά της περιοχής του ανατολικού Μαίναλου, καθώς και τη σηµασία τους, προκειµένου να φωτίσει τους λόγους που αιτιολογούν την ένταξη της περιοχής σε καθεστώς προστασίας. Στη συνέχεια, περιγράφονται τα ήδη εκπονηµένα προγράµµατα προστασίας της περιοχής, καταγράφεται το ισχύον καθεστώς προστασίας και, τέλος, παρουσιάζεται η πρόταση που έχει κατατεθεί για την ανακήρυξή της σε προστατευόµενη περιοχή. Στο δεύτερο µέρος, η εργασία, µέσω επιτόπιας έρευνας και χρησιµοποιώντας το εργαλείο των ηµιδοµηµένων συνεντεύξεων, επιχειρεί να διερευνήσει το πώς αντιλαµβάνονται και αποτιµούν την Ειδική Περιβαλλοντική Μελέτη και τους κανόνες της, όσοι άµεσα ή έµµεσα εµπλέκονται µε την προστατευόµενη περιοχή και, τέλος, κατά πόσον η εν λόγω προστατευόµενη περιοχή προσφέρει αναπτυξιακές δυνατότητες στους κατοίκους της περιοχής. Από τα στοιχεία της επιτόπιας έρευνας προέκυψε ότι η πλειοψηφία των ερωτηθέντων γνώριζαν για την προστατευόµενη περιοχή, την ένταξή της στο δίκτυο Natura 2000 χωρίς να έχουν γνώση της νοµοθεσίας που διέπει µια τέτοια περιοχή. Επίσης, η Ε.Π.Μ η όποια αναφέρει για πρώτη φορά το καθορισµό των Ζωνών αλλά και οι δράσεις που πραγµατοποιήθηκαν µέσω του προγράµµατος Life. Τέλος, όλοι οι συνοµιλητές κάνουν αναφορά, στην δυνατότητα ανάπτυξης της περιοχής και την οικονοµική άνθηση των κατοίκων, χωρίς αυτό να σηµαίνει την καταστροφή του φυσικού περιβάλλοντος ή αλλοίωσης µια περιοχής Natura.

The first part of this project analytically presents the way of living and cultural characteristics of the eastern region of Mainalon, as well as its importance, in order to shed light on the reasons that justify putting this area under protection. It continues, describing the already existing protection programs within the area, recording the active state of protection, and in the end it presents the recommendation that was given concerning its declaration as a protected area. In the second part of the project, through immediate research and interviews, there is an effort to investigate how to comprehend and estimate the Specialized Environmental Research group and its rules and regulations for those involved both directly and indirectly with the protected area, and lastly, to what extent the protected area offers growing abilities to the residents of the area. From the results of this immediate research, it can be seen that the majority of those who were interviewed were aware of the protected area, and placing it in Naura 2000 without having complete knowledge of the laws or regulations that exist in this type of area. Moreover, the Specialized Environmental Research group which is mentioned for the first time, defines not only the zone but also the actions that took place through the Life program. In the end, all those involved in the research project make a statement expressing the growing ability of the area, and the economic flourish of its residents, without causing destruction to the natural environment or the distortion of a Natura area.
